Pubs There are 2 pubs in the village, namely:
  • The Bull, which is situated at the southern end of the High Street
  • The George and Dragon, which is also situated in the High Street.

They are both good examples of traditional English village-pubs and are accessed directly from the High Street and have their own car park and beer garden away from the traffic.

Restaurants The George and Dragon (an award-winner) offers a good range of food that can be enjoyed in the bar or in separate dining rooms, or outside in the garden when the weather permits.

Many of the pubs in the surrounding villages also offer food and have their own restaurants.

If you don't want to eat out, there is always the option of the village (Chinese) take-away.
Shops All of the village shops are located in the High Street and offer a good range of services.

The shops include a butchers, hair salon, post office, small supermarket, bakery, and a general store/dry cleaners.

There is also a large nursery which sells an extensive selection of tree, plants and shrubs, etc.

In addition to the shops and the nursery, there are local people who offer a range of services such as garden and property maintenance, painting and decorating, driving tuition and so on.
